• Bio

    Jake Lesh is a New York based artist and member of the Actors' Equity Association. In 2018, he made his Off-Broadway debut at the Artist's Co-Op, and recently returned Off-Broadway in 2019 at the American Theatre of Actors. Noteworthy credits include playing the roles of Cyrano de Bergerac (Texas Shakespeare Festival), Mr. Darcy (Hudson Warehouse), D'Artagnan (Hudson Warehouse), and Don Armado (Titan Theatre Co.).


    Jake has a strong background in vocal technique and has trained under the Skinner, Linklater, and Lessac disciplines (yet he does not adhere to any one system). He continues to remain active as a period styles coach, and has had the honor of teaching English Restoration comportment style to students on the international level. Jake also had the pleasure of making his directorial debut with Alexandre Dumas' "The Three Musketeers" in conjunction with The Hippodrome Theatre's Summer SPEC youth program.


    Jake is also a fight choreographer and is associated with such organizations as The Society of American Fight Directors, Dueling Arts International, and the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat. His weapon experience includes Rapier/Dagger, Broadsword, Quarterstaff, Hand-To-Hand combat, and Karmabit knife tricks.


    Jake has been published as originating the role of Suit in the Off-Broadway production of "Crossroads of the World." The production took place from November 29th - December 8th 2019 and was produced by The Alternative Theatre Company in part with the "Altered Minds" play festival. "Crossroads of the World" was selected for publication in early 2020.

    Jake has extensive knowledge in regard to Elizabethan, Neo-Classical, and English Restoration comportment style. He has lead various dance/movement workshops throughout the United States. Please feel free to message with serious inquires on developing a workshop with your school or community!
